July 2009

July brings us many summer delights; homegrown tomatoes and Italian eggplant from Rhomberg Farms and the ritual of summer evening trips to Ted Drewes for frozen custard.  Be sure not to miss chocolate covered raspberries from St. Louis' own Bissinger's Chocolates, only available this month!

Start a new summer tradition; A leisurely gourmet lunch at Giuseppe's Ristorante on St. Louis' Southside.  Johnny Rabbitt tells the story from the beginning; from its’ birth in “Little Italy” to a cornerstone landmark at Grand Avenue and Meramec Streets.

Insider tip; Park your car on Giuseppe’s free and convenient parking lot on the south side of Meramec St. and enjoy a wonderful lunch followed by a “Concrete” or banana split at Ted Drewes’ South Grand location situated only one half block to the south.
