Buyers from the Antique Warehouse attend several major antique shows throughout the country in search of interesting and unusual items.  We have recently attended two of the best shows in the United States.  The Coin-Op Dealers Show at the Kane County Fair Grounds November 10 and 11 and the Chicagoland Antique Advertising, Slot-Machine & Jukebox Show, November 12 through the 14, 2004, in St. Charles Illinois.

Collectors and dealers from all over the country gather to buy, sell and trade all types of antique advertising items, architectural artifacts, jukeboxes, pinball and soda machines, neon signs, brass cash registers, vintage bicycles, circus banners, carnival rides, barber poles and chairs, penny arcade games, soda fountain, ice cream shop and Americana collectables of all descriptions.  Also available are parts, decals, books, manuals and restoration supplies.

For over 24 years, 300 plus dealers assemble days before the show and many items are bought and sold prior to the show's opening.  Dealers and collectors swarm like bees when new dealers arrive on the lot.  Buying and trading begins immediately, before the trailer or truck doors are fully opened.  Friday is dealer set up day.  Buyers begin searching on the lots before daybreak as dealers unload and move their inventory into the exhibit halls.  Some buyers say Sunday is the best opportunity for bargains however we find all our items on or before Friday.  This is the show to attend if you want to find the very best.
