Our team recovered this Nagle-Corliss steam engine and compressor from the Missouri State Mental Hospital, which was established in 1867 by the City of St. Louis.  The unit was installed at the power plant in 1910 during a major renovation.  The steam engine, compressor, drive shaft and eight foot fly wheel weigh 18,500 pounds.
