description:  A child's sized barber chair fitted with a finely carved carousel style horse's head which can be removed when desired and as readily attached to the seat frame of the chair.  This chair can be raised, lowered, and revolved.  It is also fitted with a steel porcelain enameled sleeve which covers the oily stem of the hydraulics.  The Koken name is cast in chrome on the foot base.

information:  This rare barber chair has a horse attached to the front in order to keep a child entertained while getting their hair cut.  The chair and horse head have been completely restored, with all of the porcelain polished, the seats re-upholstered, the chrome re-plated and the horse head repainted.

original catalog description:  Seat frame, pedestal base, back frame, and arms are made of iron, white porcelain enameled. Base ring and all other exposed parts are heavily nickel plated and polished.  Has hydraulic range of eight inches. Finely upholstered and covered with best quality of leather.  Fitted with adjustable foot rest which can be quickly raised and lowered.
